The panoramic trail ‘Werderobst’ was created to make the cultural landscape around the south and west of the city even more accessible for cyclists and hikers. The 22-kilometer trail is one of the most attractive bike paths in the region Mark Brandenburg, especially when the trees are in bloom. You'll experience not only the fascinating orchards, but also the various sights of the region: The panoramic trail stretches from Petzow with its Castle, the church Schinkelkirche and the Lennépark am Glindower See, and past the Glindower Alps and the Brickwork Museum in Glindow to the Lilienthal Memorial on the Derwitzer Mühlenberg.
From the heights of the Fuchsberg, the Telegrafenberg, and the Karfunkelberg, the view sweeps over extensive fruit fields and the wonderful landscape of the Havel Lakes. Along the way you may admire newly planted levelled fruit areas and an orchard based on historical models, as well as one of the largest interconnected sweet cherry plantations in Germany. The signs lead to the traditional fruit farms that often market their products themselves. In some places the visitor may buy local products and stop for a rest or even pick seasonal fruit or buy it from the farmer.
